Abstract
BARSIM, a simulation that enables dynamic timing analysis to be performed on a system at all stages of its life cycle, is presented. This simulation permits design engineers to explore the dynamic effects of the design through various usage scenarios to identify the critical components of the architecture. As the design matures and implementation decisions are made, the simulation can confirm operational suitability. During systems integration, the simulation provides an initial baseline for measuring performance and operational capability. After completion, the simulation provides a very cost effective tool for evaluating changes to the system, before committing to purchase options. This simulation and its applicability to system design, development, integration, and modification are described
