Abstract :
An UWB (Ultra WideBand) BPF(Band-Pass Filter) with two notched bands is presented, using the lumped elements and microstrip lines. The proposed filter has two parts that are a high-pass filter and a low-pass filter. The high-pass filter consists of the microstrip and lumped elements for controllable arbitrary notched bands. In addition, the low-pass filter is designed on the ground plane using DGS structure. So the proposed filter is very compact. And it can control each notched band easily by changing lumped element values. The performance is predicted using simulations and verified experimentally. The fabricated filter has FBW of 115% at a center frequency 6.7GHz, insertion loss less than 0.6dB and return loss more than 14dB.
