Abstract :
This paper presents planar multi-way bagley polygon (BP) power dividers (PDs) that can operate at two arbitrary frequencies. Design equations are derived mathematically, and practical issues in microstrip manufacture are discussed. 3-way and 5-way dual-band BP PDs are fabricated and measured for verification purpose. Good agreement between simulation and measurement results proves the validity of the design method. The presented PDs exhibit wide bandwidths and 180° phase shifts between output ports. Furthermore, simple layouts lead to convenient design procedure and easy fabrication.
