Abstract
This paper presents the optimum design for the 6-way power divider with inductive post. The amount of return loss is determined by the height of the feeding pin and the diameter of the inductive post. The resonant frequency is determined by the spacing between the feeding pin and inductive post. The simulated and measured return losses are below -40 dB and agree well with each other. The measured insertion loss is only 0.28 dB. The transmission coefficients of six output ports show very small difference. It means that the input power is distributed into six output ports in equal magnitude and phase.
