  • Abstract
    Microwave/millimeter-wave phase and amplitude characteristics using the optically controlled phased array antenna with a single SMF have ever been obtained. In this presentation, we propose the optically controlled phased array antenna with different SMFs for each antenna element. Ideal phases for the beam steering can be obtained by the adjustment of the LD wavelength suitably. First, phase characteristics of the array using multiple SMFs were compared with that with a single SMF. Second, we verify that ideal phase characteristics can be experimentally obtained by the adjustment of LD wavelength. Excellent phase characteristics using 2-element optically controlled array were experimentally demonstrated with calibration measurement of the phases.
