Abstract
In this paper, we propose to design a 60 GHz antenna using a CMOS 130 nm bulk process. The chosen antenna is a dipole with meandered arms to minimize the occupied space on the chip. With a simulated matching bandwidth of 11% (|S11| less than -10 dB), this antenna operates in the available bandwidth around 60 GHz which is of particular interest for Wireless Personal Area Network (WPAN) applications. Measured and simulated return loss are presented. Radiation pattern measurements are achieved using a unique measurement set-up for millimeter-wave probe-fed antenna.
