Abstract
This paper presents the results of a modeling and simulation effort to study the effect of a new ground station poll scheduling algorithm on message delays in a very high frequency (VHF) digital link (VDL) mode 3 based in RTCA (2002)/aeronautical telecommunication network (ATN) based in ICAO (2002) environment. In addition, a special case of site diversity with five ground stations is examined.
