Abstract :
For continuous applications of distributed power, such as photovoltaic power and wind power and so on, power quality of public distribution network faced more uncertain factors, performance of power quality compensation equipments in distribution network like shunt hybrid active power filter (SHAPF) also suffered from some negative influences of distributed power, so their control strategies were required more. To maintain satisfied compensation performance of SHAPF even after applications of distributed generation in distribution network, this paper took typical shunt hybrid injection type active power filter (SHIAPF) as research subject, analyzed its corresponding compensation characteristics under four basic single index control strategies, and then, a new composite control strategy simultaneously contained load and grid harmonic currents was proposed to guarantee SHIAPF perform better in distribution network containing distributed generations. Before and after the penetration of distributed generation, the changes of SHIAPF compensation characteristics caused by harmonic-voltage injection, connection-impedance variation and frequency fluctuation were illustrated comparatively under the proposed composite control strategy or one single index control strategy. Simulation and experiment results have verified that the proposed composite control strategy could get better suppression effects against those fluctuations caused by distributed generation and ensure better compensation performances of SHIAPF, when distributed generation has a high penetration level in distribution network. It also can provide some practical references for further applications of SHIAPF and other power quality compensation equipments in distribution network containing distributed generations.
