Abstract :
The long last of bushfire, causing the failure of transmission lines´ reclosing, repeated trips or failure to rework in a short time, severely threatens power system´s safety and stability. After analysing several trips caused by bushfire and learning from CSG´s long-term anti-bushfire work experience, this paper summarizes the harms of bushfire as well as some problems that exist in the present anti-bushfire work for transmission lines. Besides, this paper analyses how bushfire causes transmission line trips by the help of live fault tracks, and finds the paths through which transmission lines discharge when trips happen. Moreover, suggestions for the prevention from trips caused by bushfire are also listed in the paper.
