Abstract :
We present an experiment to validate a numerical model used for the investigation of radio-frequency ablation of biological tissues. The experiment is conducted on a model made of tissue-equivalent material. The time-dependent resistance and the temperature distribution obtained during ablation are found to be in very good agreement with the theoretical predictions. We conclude that the numerical model is valid and accurate.
