Abstract
This communication describes a real-time data acquisition system for the visualisation and analysis of cardiac activation sequences. The system uses digital signal processing and graphics workstation technology to support three-dimensional visualisation of cardiac activation in real-time. A high speed data acquisition interface for Unix workstations is described. Use of this interface results in no degradation of system real time performance. This cardiac mapping system is currently in use in clinical and research environments.
