  • Abstract
Focused electrical stimuli will likely improve the performance of cochlear implants. Models predict the probable success of focusing. The models must be tested by measuring potentials in the inner ear. Successful testing requires the minimization of electrode impedances, the maximization of the common mode rejection ratios of the amplifiers used and the consistent selection of volt- age reference points in the subjects.
