Abstract
This study aims to answer some of the underlying questions in the diagnosis and management of premenstrual syndrome (PMS). A multi-frequency electrical impedance method is employed in measuring fluid levels in the body as a function of the phases of the menstrual cycle. The relationship between these measurements to the reported symptoms is investigated. The results suggest that the ratio of extrato intra-cellular fluid volumes correlates well with the physical symptoms of PMS.
