Abstract :
A wide band antenna composed of two stubs and a ground is proposed. The antenna has more-series resonant frequencies than an open and a short stub, and there for it achieves wide-band operation. A prototype of this antenna is designed, fabricated and measured. The prototype has over twice wider frequency band where good radiation efficiency is maintained than a conventional low profile antenna. The width of the prototype is 75mm, height is 10mm, thickness is 1mm and radiation efficiency is over -3.1dB from 0.7GHz to 0.96GHz.
