Abstract :
The paper presents a dual-band Wilkinson power divider implemented with offset double-side parallel strip line (DSPSL). The closed-form equations for the design of the power divider operating at arbitrary dual band with equal or unequal power dividing ratio are derived based on circuit theory and transmission line theory. In order to demonstrate the validity of the equations, a 3dB power divider and a 4:1 unequal power divider are modeled with ideal equivalent circuits by ADS. Finally, two prototypes of the power dividers are designed for further demonstration, noting that the resulting parameters of the power dividers are obtained from HFSS optimization to the structure. Good performance can be observed.
