Abstract :
In this paper, a compact, easy to fabricate single-feed multiple slotted square microstrip patch antenna is proposed to obtain a dual-band Circular Polarization (CP) radiation patterns. For obtaining dual band operation, four T-shaped slits are inserted at the radiating edges of the patch. Also, four L-shaped slot with different arm sizes are placed at the corners of the patch. For generating circular polarization in both bands, a rectangular slot is placed at the centre of the patch. A small probe located at the diagonal square excites the patch providing single feed point. Simulation results including return loss, radiation patterns and Axial Ratio (AR) are presented. Results shows that patch size reduction as large as 38% is obtained.
