Abstract
With the exponential increase of available, incoming data to a biopharmaceutical company, the need for consistent cross functional vocabularies is heightened. The use of effective vocabularies characterizing incoming data is one of the largest contributors to increasing data quality used for analytics and signal intelligence. This paper will describe challenges and methodologies used with business functions to develop sustainable vocabularies and vocabulary management processes. In addition, it will describe novel methods of developing cross functional vocabulary linkages for front-end processing and analytics as well as back-end signal intelligence.
