Abstract
Based on the research of two-wheeled self balancing electric vehicle, a gesture measuring system using assembled MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems) module is designed and implemented. By analyzing the signals from the MEMS sensor and combine discrete low-pass filter and the method of complementary filtering, a simple but effective filter module is constructed. This module has been simulated in MATLAB and the system has been tested by experiments. The results of experiments show that this assembled MEMS module can provide gesture data with higher accuracy than those provided by a single sensor. This paper also proposes a low cost and feasible gesture measuring solution which is based on assembled MEMS module.
