Abstract :
The key techniques and methods to design and realize the virtual endoscopic surgery training system were discussed. In accordance with the functional requirement, the virtual endoscopic surgery training system was built using hierarchical system structure, with the 3-dimensional model of human organ, the implement of collision detection algorithm, soft tissue deformation and cutting algorithm, and also with the function of virtual scene editing and rendering. The surface mesh model of the organ was designed according to the medical data, which was packaged with class structure in C++; the collision detection was implemented by using hierarchical bounding box algorithm; according to the viscoelasticity features of soft tissue, it´s deformation was been simulated by using spring-mass model, the cutting was been simulated by using cut-off points duplicating algorithm.
