Abstract :
In this paper, a new control method of ESS for smoothing wind farm output is proposed, in which a PWM based DC-DC converter is not used and ESS is connected directly to the DC bus circuit of wind farm. This system can simplify overall control scheme and improve the efficiency of the wind farm considerably.
