Abstract
For large commercial aircrafts, electrical power needs have increased with the last generation of aircraft to reach an installed power close to 1MW. The generator size depends on this installed power, the electrical load analysis and certification requirements. This paper presents a statistical approach to forecast the electrical power consumed. Based on an in-service measurement on commercial aircraft, the first analysis of consumption is performed on multiple flights. An adapted modeling of the loads through an efficient clustering is the input of a Monte-Carlo algorithm. This algorithm is used to run simulations in order to find a posteriori electrical generators consumption.
