Abstract :
As globalization brought competition in international market, enterprises have been trying to gain highest customer satisfaction with lowest input. Through continuous practices, they gradually recognized that high quality and low cost are not incompatible with each other as what they thought to be. In other words, high quality and low cost can be achieved at the same time. The Six Sigma management strategies which were originated in Motorola perfectly proved their reorganization. However, Six Sigma is not merely a means of quality control; it has developed to be a systematic way of continuously process improvement. Entitled the Whampoa of HR, Motorola HR function is well-known for its high-skilled management. One of its secret is the application Six Sigma. For example, in a Six Sigma project, Motorola HR innovatively figured out the strategy of job evaluation, workforce planning, among others, to provide its Integrated Supply Chain with flexible DL workforce.
