Abstract
This paper describes the measurement and analysis of the electrical field strength components near the walls of a reverberation chamber. Therefore an array of 8 E-field probes was used. The average value is calculated from the measurement results and compared to theoretical values that are derived from a plane wave representation. The presented results are normalized to the mean value in the working volume of the reverberation chamber where the average field is assumed to be statistically isotropic and homogeneous. A good agreement can be noticed for certain components of the field strength. Remaining deviations of the results and limitations of the measurement setup are discussed.
