Abstract :
Feeder Automation plays an important role in improving quality and reliability of power supply, and is also one of the important contents of the Distribution Automation. As the fundamental control unit of Feeder Automation, a Feeder Terminal Unit (FTU) can quickly collect the fault information, report the remote signal state deflection information to the master station when a failure occurs, and achieve fault isolation and power recovery, according to the telecomm and sent by the master station. Based on communications needs between FTU and the master station in this article, I introduce 32-bit floating point DSP chip TMS320F28335 as the core processing chip, design the hardware schematic structure diagram of FTU, and achieve RS485 serial communication of FTU in accordance with IEC60870-5-101 Protocol. At last, through communication experiment test between the host computer (PC) and the FTU, this part meets the IEC60870-5-101 Protocol requirements.
