Abstract :
Unlike the vast majority of the applications of the RFID technology for robot navigation, which refer to problems related to robot localization and mapping, this paper explores the possibilities to use RFID tags deployed in the environment for defining and following robot paths. The experiments described here prove that an RFID augmented environment can contribute to a drastic simplification of the design of some service robots.
