  • Abstract
    This document researches the characteristic and the methods of signal calculation on the radio propagation of terrestrial digital television, and the using requirement on reference networks, structure of network, parameter configuration etc. in digital television planning and design. The simulation study and comparative studying with the European standard for the outdoor urban DTMB in China reference network architecture and fixed reception parameters were carried out. From the research, we got the variation relation among the station spacing of Single Frequency Network(SFN), the coverage area and the network gain, and proposed the research method for determination and improvement of the parameter configuration of the digital television reference network.
