Abstract
The performance of colors is of great importance for color output devices. Color tone curves in cyan, magenta, yellow and black, grey balance curve and output color gamut were selected to represent the color performance of devices. The methods to calculate above curves and gamut boundaries were developed, and tool software was further made based on ICC Profile in MATLAB language. Experiment analysis has been conducted on digital press, ink-jet color printer and silver-salt color photo printing machine. The results indicate that calibrated devices possess smooth and gradual changed tone curves and correct grey balance which can show colors and tones properly. But they have their own characteristics in their output color gamut with various saturation performances in every hue sections.
