Abstract :
This paper introduces an improved method for TDOA estimation in positioning systems utilizing chirp transmissions. The proposed solution consists in determination of LOS component instantaneous frequency. According to the performed simulations and experiment results, the proposed TDOA estimation method shows good accuracy and thus has the potential to be used in indoor location applications.
