Abstract
A plug hole shaped reconfigurable microstrip antenna capable of frequency and pattern reconfiguration using photo-conductive switches is proposed in this paper. The antenna can be operated at three different frequencies in the range of 2-4GHz. At each frequency, five different radiation patterns are possible. Photo-conductive switches used to obtain reconfiguratibility. The simulation results comprising the return loss and radiation patterns of the proposed antenna are presented.
