Abstract
We propose a new procedure of processing of amplitude-frequency response (AFR) for the purpose of recovering complete set of normal and partial parameters of coupled modes in microwave resonators. The normal parameters are calculated by means of approximating AFR by squared sum of complex amplitudes of both modes. The partial parameters are determined from analysis of lumped-element equivalent circuit of the resonator. Verification of the technique was carried out on mode simulation results in the coupled cavities. As an example, applicability of the technique for characterization of high-Tc materials is shown under conditions of the mode partial degeneration removal.
