Abstract
We studied a modified structure of high power and low noise full-band tunable CSG-DR laser operating at a constant chip temperature. The examined laser, TDA-CSG-DR-LD, has structure with the phase control region controlled by heaters. The fabricated device shows a capability to emit more than 60 mW output power at chip temperature of 50 °C and a wavelength tuning range of nealy 40 nm. These results promise the downsizing of package and widen application field of the device.
