Abstract
The concept of "tourist experience" has been widely promoted under the influence of "tourist economy". However, currently study is still less found in terms of the essence of tourist experience and the shaping of tourist experience that are applicable. The paper, based on the perspective of anthropology and combining the connotation of "experience economy", explores the essence of tourist experience and proposes the concept of "virtual authenticity" of tourist experience and defines the principle of "virtual authenticity" that must be followed in shaping "tourist experience". The author emphasizes advancing "process atmosphere", giving prominence to the "authenticity" of cultural symbols and encouraging community participation. Around the areas of enhancing tourist expectations, creating "true" scene/atmosphere and playing the role of local residents and tourism-related personnel, the author expounds comprehensively the integral shaping of tourist experience.
