Abstract :
This article determined total flavonoids and total phenolic content of extracts from different parts of Abelmoschus esculentus L. and enrichment of macroporous resins with different parts. At the same time, their antioxidant activity in vitro, total flavonoids and total phenolic content and determination of two different methods of analysis of the correlation between the results were determined by DPPH and FRAP methods applied. The results demonstrate that different parts of Abelmoschus esculentus L. contain a lot of flavonoids and phenolic acids composition, and that they show a strong free radical scavenging activity and reducing power. This shows that the main ingredients of Abelmoschus esculentus L. playing the antioxidant effect was flavonoids and phenolic acids,This implies that Abelmoschus esculentus L. is a kind of antioxidant potential resources.
