Abstract
Computer networks, a required course for computer science and technology major or an elective course for other majors, requires students to master comprehensive theories on network and certain degree of practice skills. In this paper, firstly the characteristics of computer networks course are analyzed; then the problems in the teaching of computer networks are discussed; lastly, some suggestions, such as updating teaching contents, failure case studying method, computer aided teaching and the applying of network education platform and so on, are also given for the teaching of the course.
