    The current research status of motor starting control is analyzed, the current shortage of several major starting way is pointed out, a high-voltage motor soft-starting control method based on self-excitation magnetic controlled reactor is proposed. Control system based on Siemens S7-200 PLC and large-scale logic chip FPGA EP1C3T100,interface based on ProfaceAST3301W touch screen is designed, Simulation results proved the effectiveness of the device. Application of engineering proved the good effect that it makes the motor starting smoothly followed with the starting characteristic required by the load, reduce the impact on power system and the motor itself effectively.
