Abstract
Replacement of an MDR (Mercury Displacement Relay) in traffic signal cabinets, by design of a new hybrid relay utilizing a solid-state relay in parallel with an electro-mechanical relay and a control circuit. Subsequent decision paths on prototyping and where to manufacture the final product.
