Abstract :
In order to shorten the duration of study course programs, there is a tendency to assess acquired knowledge, skills and competences as soon as possible. Neurological findings raise doubts on the reliability of such evaluations. Based on a modern model of human memory organization, this paper discusses on the optimum point in time for assessment.
