  • Abstract
A space-vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM) switching strategy is described in this paper. A four-level voltage waveform using open-end winding configuration of an induction motor is obtained by using this strategy. Two unequal DC-link voltages, which are in the ratio of 2:1 are used to generate the SVPWM based four level voltage wave forms. The proposed algorithm does not employ any look-up tables. The time consuming task of sector identification is altogether avoided in this algorithm. The effective zero voltage signal is added to produce required voltage waveforms. The proposed algorithm employs only the instantaneous reference phase voltages for the implementation of the SVPWM.
