A support tool for cost and schedule integration by connecting PMIS & PgMIS

To revitalize domestic and international cities in the midst of a major recession, big scale mega projects have been actively promoted in recent years. However, it has been difficult to implement such projects, due to the lack of management skills and experience on the part of the project implementers. In particular, the PMIS employed to manage single projects centering on the existing construction phase has been found to have limitations in terms of the management of mega projects. As such, a PgMIS that includes program-level management skills is required. This study was conducted to develop a support tool for the efficient program-level management of the cost and schedule information occurring in the construction phase. By using the developed support tool for integrating cost and schedule, the program manager can monitor the progress of the entire project and of the individual sub-projects in real time.
