Abstract
The 3 MeV electron beam and 75 kA peak current was registered during recent experiments on the MIG wire explosion facility with high reproducibility. The pulse forming system consists of capacitor banks with 240 kJ stored energy, high-voltage linear pulse transformer, intermediate inductive energy storage, wire exploding open switch and high voltage electron diode. 40 kJ electron beam was focused on Ta or Fe targets by selfmagnetic field. Peak dose of 7*1011 RAD/sec for 150 ns FWHM was obtained in the experiments. Dose rate of 1.2*1011 RAD/sec was obtained on 100 cm2 exposed area.
