Abstract
The renewable energies such as the wind energy will play an important role in smart grids. In connection of a large wind farm to the electrical network various problems especially its stability should be studied and analyzed carefully. Regarding the adverse effects of nonlinear interactions on the dynamic behavior of power systems, the occurrence of this phenomenon between wind farms and other system components such as FACTS devices can affect the system stability leading to unacceptable system performance. In this paper, the nonlinear interaction of the wind farm is studied in different conditions using the nonlinear modal analysis based on the Modal Series (MS) method.
