Abstract
We analyze the effectiveness of applying fragmentation and reconfiguration costs from old paths to new ones in multi-fiber wavelength division multiplexing networks. Numerical evaluation using a 2×3 grid shows that the number of changed wavelengths is reduced by approximately 90% while retaining the effectiveness of the reconfiguration.
