Abstract
Transparent conductive oxides (TCOs) with high mobility and low carrier density exhibit simultaneously high conductivity and high transparency in the visible and near infrared wavelengths. The TCOs provide opportunities to improve performances of solar cells and also open possibilities for new optoelectronic applications. This paper describes the current status of the TCOs and reviews our recent research on In2O3-based TCOs and solar cells incorporating the TCO as a front electrode.
