Abstract :
Visual FoxPro database system course is a required course of economics and management major in our university. According to the needs of this curriculum reform, being combined with the modern teaching methods and network technology, this pape r proposes the reform strategies in this course from the teachers and teaching textbook configuration, teaching content, teaching methods, and assessment methods. We explicitly point out that the ne w teaching model is to change from emphasizing theory teaching to practical teaching, from classroom teaching to network platform teaching, from paper testing to non-paper machine testing. Reform results show that the reform strategies can improve the teaching e ffect, increase the students´ interest in learning, and enhance their independent operation ability to solve practical problems. The reform of teaching model in this course is warmly welcomed by students.
