Abstract
A dynamic optimization of the pilot scattering for Long Term Evolution (LTE) downlink system is introduced. This optimization is based on channel parameters estimations to optimize the number of pilots used in the transmission which will increase the system throughputs. The maximum delay spread and the Doppler spread are the main channel parameters that are used for the optimization of the needed number of LTE pilot used in the LTE mobile radio channel estimation. The performances of the introduced technique are confirmed through the derived theoretical analysis and the performed simulation results when compared to the LTE standard pilot scattering.
