Abstract
For the purpose of real-time video monitoring system for the major hazard installations for dangerous chemicals, the paper elaborates on the functional planning of the real-time video monitoring system for major hazard installations for dangerous chemicals by adhering to the principles including practicability, advancement, simplicity, extendibility and reliability. As indicated by the application of the real-time video monitoring system for major hazard installations for dangerous chemicals, the latest large-screen display technology and remoter video monitoring technology are able to achieve the monitoring of the field real-time dynamic and can help make emergency control decisions. However, there are still phenomena like frame drop and picture incoherence due to the restriction of bandwidth of broadband.
