Abstract
By the methods of Auger-electron spectroscopy, atomic-force and optical microscopy there had been studied iron-nickel contact surfaces of reed switches after ion-induced modification. It was shown that corrosion and erosion resistance of modified contacts is connected with the peculiarities of topography of the surface and formation of nitride layers. There was given experimental justification of possibility of making of reed switches with modified contact surface instead of electroplating from precious metals.
