Abstract :
In this paper, an improved predictive current controlled three phase voltage source pulse width modulation (PWM) rectifier was described. This method was based on the discrete mathematical model. The desired ac-side current was predicted according to minimizing power errors target function in a fixed time interval. This control system realized fast tracing by selecting switching states based on the principle of space vector modulation (SVM). The simulation results verify a satisfactory performance of the system with nearly unity power factor, low total harmonic distortion (THD), fast dynamic responses and strong robustness.
