Abstract
In order to study the electromagnetic force distribution in the core of stator and rotor of an asynchronous motor, we conducted 2-D electromagnetic analysis using time-stepping finite element method (FEM) to calculate the magnetic field. The moving conductor´s eddy current was derived in detail in the Lagrangian coordinate system. Eulerian coordinate system and Lagrangian coordinate system are used together to solve the eddy current problems involving movement. Subsequently, the node forces acting on the stator and rotor core in each step was obtained.
