Abstract
It is important to detect power lines in low visible environments for the safety of low-flying helicopters. In this paper, the electromagnetic scattering character of power lines at millimeter-waves is analyzed in theory. Meanwhile, an experiment at millimeter-wave is put forward to get the actual data of power lines. Finally, a power line detection model is presented based on the experiment, and the correctness of the model is proved by the detection results of the experiment.
